Honeyed Pumpkin

Honeyed Pumpkin is a signature snack from Yan'an. This simple dish combines easy-to-find ingredients with honey to create a fragrant, sweet, and tender treat that's perfect as a beauty-enhancing delicacy.
Ingredients

Main Ingredients:
• Pumpkin - 200g (7 oz)
• White Fungus - 15g (0.5 oz)
• Granulated Sugar - 5g (1 tsp)
• Rock Sugar - 5g (1 tsp)
• Honey - 8g (2 tsp)
• Salt - 1g (¼ tsp)
Step 1
Soak the white fungus in advance and remove the tough base parts.

Step 2
Set the stove to low heat. Add the soaked white fungus and rock sugar to a pot with a small amount of water. Cover with a lid and simmer for 30 minutes. Set aside.

Step 3
Peel and deseed the pumpkin, then cut it into uniform rectangular pieces.

Step 4
Arrange the pumpkin strips on a plate, then sprinkle with granulated sugar, Salt and drizzle with honey.

Step 5
Place in the Steam oven . Turn on the power, fill the water tank completely, select "Start Cooking" and follow the on-screen instructions.
For manual operation: Select Steam Mode - Regular Steam, set to 100°C (212°F), cook for 15 minutes. No preheating required.

Alternative method:
Add a bowl of water to a pot and bring it to a boil. Place the plate of pumpkin strips in a steamer basket, cover with a lid, and steam over medium-high heat for 15 minutes.

Transfer the pumpkin and soup to serving bowls, top with the prepared white fungus, and serve hot!
